After receiving major criticism from fans and anti-fans about his recent comment (posted on Friday) he made about the controversial June 7th protest, Frank Artus has fired back again by saying, that he appreciates every negative and positive comment, thus, he has the right to exercise his freedom to express himself. ‘’ Hello fellow Liberians. I would like to thank all who took their precious time out of their busy schedules to comment on my post from yesterday which got me trending the social media. All comments (whether positive or negative) were all well received. Please be reminded that each and every one of us is entitled to his/her opinion. Likewise, each and every Liberian has the right to freedom of speech. And I say without pompousness, that I remain firm to my post of yesterday.
With free speech comes the freedom to express one’s views whether political or not. There are prominent people in our society who have been insulted greatly all in the name of democracy. Bottom line, since it is a democracy, we can choose to disagree/agree on issues. However, the key is to constructively attack the issue and not one’s character, but again I’m personally not moved by either. It is only when you are limited that constructive conversation becomes an insult. Truth be told, we are all Liberians and we are all entitled to our various views despite our diversity or sectors we find ourselves.’’
